The weft thread was spun in Kashmir where spinning is a traditional culture using handlooms, the warp thread for this shawl was spun in Kullu as the pandemic restrictions made the movement of yarns to weavers very difficult, creating a unique combination of cultures Embroidered in the Ganderbal District of Kashmir which is a mecca for fine needlework. The thread was dyed in Hawal Srinagar.
